The Passport to Knowledge team have been pioneers in using remotely accessed information in the classroom. They have developed curricula that is presented on the Web and by traditional textbooks. Each curricula focuses on a topic (i.e. Antarctica, the Hubble Space Telescope, Mars) and is accompanied by live broadcasts linking students in classrooms with researchers in the field. The resulting show is broadcast on PBS and NASA TV stations across the county. Take a look at their recent venture to Antarctica.
Terraquest has led two expeditions which link students with explorers in Antarctica and the Galapagoes Islands. Here students can follow the explorers' journals, maps, to learn more about the natural history, geology, and human history of an area. Their next voyage will be to Yosemite National Park
